Harlequin Duck at Ship Creek, Anchorage, Alaska, 6/13/2025

Jay VanAlstine mentioned seeing this bird above the weir/dam at Ship Creek. I went over a few days later and photographed it on 6/13/2025.

The binomial name is Histrionicus histrionicus, which I find funny.
